Just about everyone has heard at least one proverb, and most people have heard more. A proverb is a saying, usually short, that expresses a general truth about life. Proverbs give advice, make an observation, or present a teaching in a succinct and memorable way.

FALSE FRIENDS or FALSE COGNATES are those words which are spelt in the same (or similar) way in English and in Spanish, but in English they have a different meaning. For example, “Actual” in English does not mean “actual” as in Spanish. Actual in English refers to a real.

Los Falsos amigos son aquellas palabras que se escriben de la misma manera o similar en Inglés y en Español pero difieren en su significado. Por ejemplo “actual” en Inglés no significa “actual” como en español. Actual en inglés se refiere a real, efectivo.

One of the most common reasons people give for studying English is that they love to travel. In fact, English is often the common language uniting travelers from around the globe, and as the tourist industry often caters to English speakers, it can be a must-have whether reserving train tickets, a nice table at a restaurant or a hotel room.

Una de las razones más frecuentes por las que la gente dice estudiar ingles es la amor por viajar. De hecho, suele ser Inglés el idioma que une a los viajeros alrededor del mundo. When we want to write a resigning letter there are many things we have to take into account. First, you have to express how thankful you are with the company for hiring you in the first place. Then, what it is more important is to be simple and clear, try not to write things that aren’t needed or important.

Cuando queremos escribir una carta de renuncia, hay muchas cosas que tenemos que tener en cuenta. En primer lugar, usted tiene que expresar lo agradecido que está con la empresa por contratarlo. Every year, an estimate of 5.000 pieces of luggage are left behind at airports only in the U.S, that is, thousands of luggage that are not claimed.

¿Se ha preguntado alguna vez que destino tienen tods esas piezas de que nunca aparecen  en los aereopuertos? Tienen otro destino al parecer! Cada año, se estima que unas 5.000 piezas de equipaje son abandonadas o extraviadas solo en los aereopuertos de los Estados Unidos, es decir, miles de equipajes que no son reclamados.
